We are delighted to share the success of our recent Company Stand-Down Day at the Lincolnshire Showground, a pivotal event that brought together employees from our three strategic depots in Lincoln, Bradford, and Norfolk.

The day commenced with an inspiring keynote speech by our Managing Director, Gary Massey. His address set the tone for a day filled with valuable insights and collaborative discussions. We were honoured to have Claire Drayton from Westfield Health enlighten our workforce on the extensive benefits available through our free healthcare package. This ensures our employees are well-informed and empowered to make the most of their healthcare provisions.

Sean Gill from Andy's Man Club delivered a crucial talk on mental health and suicide prevention. Our commitment to employee well-being extends beyond physical health, and Sean's hard-hitting presentation provided essential guidance on recognising signs and how to access support.

Breakout sessions were a key feature of the day, allowing teams to delve into discussions on quality and environmental initiatives. These sessions fostered a deeper understanding of our collective goals and provided a platform for constructive dialogue. The Q&A session with our directors further facilitated transparency and open communication.

The day concluded on a high note with a team-building exercise, 'Operation Egg,' where each team successfully achieved the objective of 'saving the egg.' This engaging activity not only strengthened team bonds but also showcased our collective problem-solving skills.

In an unexpected yet impactful twist, professional pickpocket Lee Thompson played the role of a 'fake security guard.' This unconventional approach aimed to raise awareness about the importance of being vigilant and staying safe in our industry. The planted cards encouraged our staff to 'Be Aware, Stay Safe,' reinforcing a crucial message that resonates with the nature of our work.

Our annual Stand-Down Day was once again a resounding success, thanks to the active participation and enthusiasm of our dedicated employees. We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to prioritise the well-being, collaboration, and professional development of our valued team.
