Welwyn Garden City Velodrome

Jointline Ltd were contracted to resurface the existing Welwyn Garden City velodrome, in accordance with British Cycling Technical specifications for outdoor hard cycling tracks.

The works consisted of removing existing line marking by a process of grit blasting, and then jet washing to the entire 4000m2 area of track to remove debris and clean in preparation for resurfacing. The track was coated in the specified cold applied slurry seal material, and installed in such a fashion that minimised any joints. The cycle lane markings were then set out and reapplied once the system had cured.

We successfully handed the track back in under two weeks, to ensure the arranged cycle race meetings could take place.
