Jointline completed a prestigious resin-bonded project on Queen Street in Mansfield. The project was a subcontracted venture through RPH Surfacing on behalf of Mansfield District Council.
Spanning an area of 107 square meters, the project involved the application of an Addagrip Addastone resin-bonded surface using a 1-3mm Brittany bronze aggregate blend. This careful selection of top-quality materials ensures not only a visually captivating finish but also a long-lasting and resilient surface for Queen Street.
Throughout the project, the crews encountered several challenges that demanded astute problem-solving and meticulous planning.
One of the foremost obstacles was the need to protect the Yorkstone paving on the surrounding footpaths and steps. Recognising the significance of preserving the existing infrastructure, our team took proactive measures to safeguard these areas. Every section was meticulously sheeted off, ensuring that no staining or damage would occur during the surfacing process.
Furthermore, stringent time constraints were placed upon us due to the impending client sign-off date. We are proud to state that our team rose to the challenge to complete the project within the specified deadline. Unfavourable weather conditions also presented the team with a considerable challenge. Our experienced project management team worked diligently, taking into account the weather forecast and making necessary adjustments to the work schedule. This proactive approach allowed us to optimise productivity while minimising potential setbacks caused by inclement weather.
In addition, the project site was a bustling hive of various trades simultaneously working towards the completion of their respective tasks. To ensure seamless coordination and minimal disruptions, we forged close collaborations with the other contractors involved. Our ability to work harmoniously alongside these trades, accommodating their needs and skillfully working around them, contributed significantly to the overall success of the project.
