Jointline Celebrates Kevan Woollas’ Stock Car Racing Championship Success

Jointline is pleased to celebrate the success of Airfields and Civils Contracts Manager, Kevan Woollas. Who, after many years of experience and practice, has secured the BriSCA Heritage Formula 2 Stock Car Racing British Championship in the 1960–1972 class.

Stock car racing is a fast-paced form of oval circuit motorsport where drivers compete in closely contested races using purpose-built vehicles. The sport demands technical skill, precision driving and extensive vehicle preparation, with competitors often building, maintaining and repairing their own cars throughout the season.

Kevan has been involved in stock car racing since the age of 15, following in the footsteps of his father, who also raced. He was further inspired to pursue the sport by a close colleague who shared the same passion and had previously raced alongside his own father.

Competing in a Heritage Formula 2 car, built using carefully restored and repurposed classic vehicle components, Kevan has dedicated countless hours to preparing both himself and his car for competition. Away from the track, much of the enjoyment comes from working on the car with friends, ensuring it is ready for race day.

Reflecting on his achievement, Kevan said: "The most exciting part is being out on the track racing, but I enjoy the preparation just as much. Working on the car with my friends before each meeting is a huge part of what makes the sport so rewarding."

The championship victory marks an important milestone in Kevan's racing career. Having consistently finished as championship runner-up or secured third place over the past five seasons, this year's success represents the culmination of years of perseverance, commitment and continuous improvement.

Throughout his racing journey, Kevan has been supported by his family and friends, who have been by his side during race preparation and on event days. Jointline has also proudly supported Kevan's achievements, recognising the dedication, commitment and teamwork that he brings both on and off the track. More recently, the sport has become a family affair once again, with his seven-year-old daughter beginning her own stock car racing journey, allowing Kevan to share the same passion that has been passed down through generations.

Although winning the championship is a significant personal achievement, Kevan is already looking ahead to his next challenge as he sets his sights on securing the prestigious Gold Champion title.
