Jointline recently undertook an innovative project at Q3 Academy in Birmingham, aimed at enhancing the school's playground through vibrant and educational markings. Collaborating with Thermapply, we introduced a dynamic, purple hatched area to the playground, using MMA paint to create an engaging environment conducive to learning and play.
The primary challenge of this project was the logistical constraint of the school calendar. It was imperative to complete the installation during the school holidays to avoid disrupting the daily activities and learning of students. Additionally, the task required a seamless integration of materials and design to foster an educational yet appealing play area.
To address these challenges, Jointline coordinated meticulously with Thermapply to schedule and execute the project efficiently within the limited timeframe of the school holidays. Our choice of MMA paint ensured durability and vibrant colour, suitable for the high-traffic playground environment. Thermapply provided expert installation of preformed thermoplastic designs, which added educational elements to the playground’s surface.
The project was completed successfully within the designated holiday period, resulting in minimal disruption to the academy’s routine. The new playground markings have not only transformed the aesthetics of the area but have also become a fundamental part of the students' learning through play. The purple hatched designs foster active engagement and enhance the educational experience, illustrating the power of thoughtful, functional playground enhancements.
