Jointline recently executed a comprehensive thermoplastic marking project for a regular client, following the application of a new tarmac surface in their car park. This scheme highlighted our capability in delivering precise and durable marking solutions tailored to infrastructure needs.
Following the application of a new tarmac surface, our client required a functional and visually appealing upgrade to their car park to accommodate a varied user base, including disabled persons, motorcyclists, and electric vehicle (EV) owners. The project demanded a quick turnaround to minimise disruption in a high-traffic area.
We employed thermoplastic road marking due to its excellent durability and quick curing time. The process began with surface preparation of the new tarmac to ensure flawless adhesion. This preparation included cleaning and priming the surface before heating and applying the thermoplastic material to form parking bays, disabled bays, a turning area with white hatching, dedicated motorcycle bays, and EV bays with hand formed charging logos.
The project successfully delivered a car park with clearly defined, durable, and aesthetically appealing spaces that cater to the diverse needs of all users, including six bespoke EV charging bays that underline our dedication to supporting sustainable infrastructure. The rapid curing of the thermoplastic markings ensured the area was quickly reopened for use, significantly reducing downtime and disruption. This project demonstrates Jointline's expertise in adapting to client needs and reinforced our position as a leader in thermoplastic marking solutions.
