Parking Bay Improvements in Leicester - Woodend

Working in conjunction with Leicester City Council, Jointline Construction have installed a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS); compliant resin bound surfacing. 

On this particular scheme, Leicester City Council carried out improvement works to add additional parking bays for residents and the specification was for the surfacing to be SUDS compliant (which is where we came in!). 

Whilst Leicester City Council carried out all of the preparation works with their own gangs, we then came in to install the resin bound surfacing at a depth of 40-50mm. 

A resin bound system is a surfacing solution that is laid by mixing a blend of aggregates with resin in a forced action mixer, we then trowel the mixture on to the surface, providing an attractive uniform surface which is flat but pourous. 

Whilst these types of work can cause disruptions to local residents, we completed the works within one shift allowing the residents to have access the following day, after roadmarkings had been applied.
