Enhancing Site Safety and Efficiency
- Line Marking – Painted Systems
- Manufacturing and Industrial
Introduction
Jointline’s Off-Highways division recently completed an internal line marking scheme at a newly developed parcel distribution hub. The project focused on improving safety, navigation, and emergency preparedness within the busy operational environment.
The Challenge
High-volume distribution hubs involve constant movement of vehicles, equipment, and personnel. Without clearly defined routes and operational zones, the risk of confusion and potential safety hazards can increase significantly.
The client required a clear internal marking system that would support safe navigation, highlight key operational areas, and ensure emergency escape routes were highly visible and easy to follow.
The Solution
Jointline applied a comprehensive internal line marking scheme tailored to the layout and operational requirements of the facility.
Green markings were used to clearly identify designated fire escape routes, ensuring safe and visible evacuation paths throughout the building. Yellow caution zones were installed to highlight areas requiring increased awareness, while clearly defined vehicle zones established organised traffic flow within the warehouse.
The works were delivered efficiently to integrate seamlessly with the new facility and support immediate operational use.
The Benefits
The completed marking scheme improves overall site safety by providing clear visual guidance for staff and vehicle operators. Defined escape routes enhance emergency preparedness, while caution zones and vehicle areas help reduce the risk of incidents in busy working environments.
By implementing structured and highly visible markings, the facility now benefits from improved operational flow, safer movement across the site, and a more organised working environment.
